* Just wanted to drop you a note to tell you I am about
10 inches into my son's sweater. I haven't had any problems
with your pattern at all...He can't wait until I finish it!

*
Just finished your sweater and loved working on the pattern.
I avoided doing an aran pattern because I thought I would have
to be counting all the time. I wanted to wear it for St. Patrick’s
Day and I have been “test wearing” it this week. It’s great.

* Yarn and book arrived today. Can't wait to start my sweater. Nice doing business with you.
Will certainly recommend you to fellow knitters. Thank you

* I am a new knitter living in New Jersey, ...the Introduction to Knitting
Class I took in Adult Education started us out on an Aran pillow. I
struggled through and finished it, now I'm hooked. I found Grandma on the
Mountain and I'm proud to say I'm working on a sweater for my son following
her wonderful directions.

* I can't believe how great this Teddy bear sweater looks!

These lovely sweaters were knit by Darby a very talented lady from Maine She has a blog site called Horseradish Redux.
It is really worth a visit. Her writings and the way she describes everyday life will surely touch your heart.

Theses photos were sent in by a lady who made the Aran sweater in a heather blue for her son.
What a nice job she did.

**** I work in a grocery store as a cashier, and just the other day I had two ladies checking out, and when I was done with the sale and since I didn't have another customer in line, I went to the other lady of the pair and said, "Now, let's see that beautiful sweater you're wearing", as she had on an obviously hand knit Aran cardigan.  I expected her to say something like, "I just got back from a trip to Ireland", or "a friend got me this when she was in Ireland", but instead; the first lady said to me, "She MADE it!!!!  She just finished it!!!!", and the second lady-- the one wearing the sweater-- just *beamed*!!   She said that it's the very first sweater she's ever knitted, and that others told her she was nuts to try an Aran sweater as her first project, but that the kit and book she used made it easy to follow and that she learned so much in the process.  She said that she'd made a few small mistakes in the sweater, but that she'd left them in, because like the quilt makers who deliberately put a mistake in their quilts, she didn't want to offend God by producing a perfect project!   I've knit for a long time, so I examined her bands and her seams and the overall fit of the sweater, and although there were some little clues that this was a first-timers project, all in all it looked pretty darn good.  So I told her she should enter it in the County Fair this summer. She said that she's already been asked by family members to make Aran sweaters for them too, and so she's probably going to be making lots more of them.  Anyways, she had the highest praise for your kits and instructions and wool, and told me to be sure to check them out on the internet.****
